Our History

From a Raleigh garage to nationwide installations, Mosca Design’s story spans four decades. Founder George Mosca began selling commercial Christmas decorations in April 1981 while working for a West Coast manufacturer. In 1985, he launched his own company in Raleigh, selling to cities, towns, shopping centers, and commercial venues across the Mid‑Atlantic. As demand grew, the team expanded from two employees in the mid‑’80s to more than 10 by the mid‑’90s.

We remain a proud provider of commercial Christmas decoration products and services nationwide. To serve clients year‑round, we diversified beyond Christmas decor. Pole banners became a core offering, and in the early 1990s, we sold our first large drive‑thru light shows, pushing the company to new heights as installation and on‑site support scaled. By 2000, our sales team had more than doubled.

Today, we support over 100 installations annually and supply products to shopping centers, municipalities, and commercial properties nationwide. Around 2013, we expanded our technical capabilities with RGB technology and our first in‑house RGB programmer, enabling custom, synchronized light‑and‑sound experiences nationwide.
